Metascan is a web based anvirus scanner that uses multiple antivirus engines to scan your file. It is similar with Virustotal, you can upload a file, it can be scanning by 17 engines, like AVG, ESET, Avast!, McAfee, Symantec. But it odes not offer scan file by a web link. If you doubt a suspect file, this is a good web service for you.
